Our Philosophy
As stewards of the forest we believe that it is the job of the forest manager to improve the forest.  We contend that forest management can be both economically feasible and ecologically beneficial.   It is our goal to help the landowner realize profit from the forest while continuing to maintain and enhance aesthetics, recreation, soil structure, water quality and wildlife.  In summary, we favor uneven-aged, long rotation, naturally regenerated, diverse forest stands over even-aged, intensively managed monocultures.

Our clients come from many walks of life but usually have a common concern and respect for the property they own.  Together with these landowners we are charting a path which provides society with renewed air,  high quality water, pleasing views and wildlife habitats while meeting its need for timber and nontimber products.
